Naga City, Camarines Sur Mayor Leni Robredo formally swore in 89 city government employees as permanent personnel during a ceremony on December 23, 2025, recognizing their years of service and performance-based merit.

Robredo emphasized that the promotions were earned through a transparent and rigorous process involving evaluations, exams, and interviews and were not granted as personal favors.

“Being permanent should inspire you to perform even better,” she said.

She urged the newly promoted staff to see their permanent status as a greater responsibility to serve the public with integrity and excellence.

The mayor also praised employees who have served the city for decades despite modest compensation and announced that around 100 more casual workers are expected to gain permanent status by the first quarter of 2026.
