Actress Matet de Leon hit back at netizens who criticized her children, who accompanied her to her late mother “Superstar” Nora Aunor’s grave on the latter’s first death anniversary.
In a Facebook post, Matet shared screenshots of comments targeting her and her children, accusing them of being snobbish and feigning grief, among other things.
She came to her children’s defense, saying the experience of losing their grandmother was a painful and traumatic one.
“Ayan. Traumatic at masakit para sa bata,” she said, adding that there was nothing to smile about during the visit.
“Gusto niyo kumaway kaway??? Ngumiti? Anong nakakatuwa? kung kakilala niyo sila, paki sabi, sikat na sila,” she added.
The comments Matet posted ranged from accusing her children of being cold and aloof, faking sadness, and even insulting Matet’s appearance.
Pansin ko lang,” another also said.
Nora Aunor passed away at the age of 71 on April 16, 2025. She was dubbed the “Superstar” of Philippine cinema for her exceptional career as a singer and actress.
