Actor and restaurateur Marvin Agustin celebrated his 47th birthday with a heartfelt Facebook post reflecting on his journey from humble beginnings to success in both acting and the food industry.

He shared that before restaurants and kitchens, he worked as a waiter at Tia Maria’s and as a mascot at Shakey’s, taking on any job he could while staying close to food and people.

Agustin recalled that when his acting career took off, he invested his first earnings wisely, starting with a Mr. Donut franchise promotion, rather than spending on material things. He described years of trial and error, failures, and restarts, which eventually led to a pivotal moment: cooking cochinillo in a garage, which later grew into a kitchen, then a restaurant, and eventually a thriving food enterprise.

Despite his achievements, Agustin said he remains grateful, still learning, and “still hungry,” acknowledging the people who supported him throughout his journey. His post resonated with fans, highlighting the importance of resilience, humility, and perseverance in building both personal and professional success.

From his rise to fame in the late 1990s to his current ventures in acting, hosting, and entrepreneurship, Agustin continues to prove that passion, hard work, and reinvention can sustain a long and fulfilling career—both on screen and off.
