Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes has denied allegations linking her and husband Dingdong Dantes to a blind item that recently circulated on social media.
The viral blind item described an unnamed celebrity “power couple” allegedly dealing with relationship problems due to the man’s supposed infidelity, while keeping the issue away from public attention.
Online users quickly speculated about the identities of the couple mentioned, with many pointing to Marian and Dingdong, who are widely regarded as one of the industry’s most prominent power couples.
Rivera addressed the rumors through entertainment columnist Rose Garcia, who personally reached out to the actress to verify the claims.
“Mi-nessage ko si Yan (Marian), Sabi ko, ‘I’m sure aware ka sa blind item kung saan sa comments section kayong dalawa ni Dong ang binabanggit,” Garcia said during an episode of their online show “Marites University” on Thursday, January 8.
She went on to recount Rivera’s response, saying, “Ang ginawa ni Yan, tumawag tapos [nangamusta]. Tapos ayan, itong picture na ito ay kanina lang habang magkausap kami,” as she showed a photo of Rivera and Dantes smiling closely together.
Garcia further shared that the photo was taken while the couple was attending their son Sixto’s football practice.
According to Garcia, Rivera reacted lightheartedly to the rumors, saying, “Sabi niya, ‘Ate, jusme. Ano ba ‘yang mga blind item na ‘yan?’ Parang sanay na sila kasi parang every year, lalo na raw ‘pag January, palaging may ganyang chika.”
The show’s hosts noted that similar blind items often surface shortly after celebrity couples celebrate their wedding anniversaries and during the early months of the year, adding that the recurring narratives appear to follow the same pattern.
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes marked their 11th wedding anniversary last December 30, 2025.
