President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has replaces three new officials to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), according to an appointment paper issued by Malacañang and dated December 2, 2025.

RH Leth Narciso reported, that the document, addressed to MTRCB Chairperson Diorella Maria “Lala” Sotto-Antonio, confirmed the designation of the following new board members:

• Nestor Cuartero, replacing Jerry Talavera

• Maria Fabregas, replacing Cherry Anne Espion

• Ma. Cecilia Villarosa, replacing Jan Marini Cadungog

Their appointments take effect immediately and will run until September 30, 2026.

“By virtue hereof, they may qualify and perform the duties of the office, furnishing the Office of the President and the Civil Service Commission with copies of their Oaths of Office,” the appointment paper stated.

The MTRCB, which operates under the Office of the President, is tasked with reviewing and classifying television programs and films for public exhibition in the Philippines.
