President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the country’s creative sector as a vital driver of culture, economy, and national pride.

Marcos, together with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and the First Family, led the official launch of the “Responsableng Panonood Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas” or Tara Nood Tayo campaign, which aims to promote responsible viewing while uplifting the local television and film industry.

The campaign also celebrates the rich talent of Filipino actors, producers, directors, cinema operators, and distributors who contribute to nation-building through creative work.

In his message, President Marcos stressed that the First Family and the government stand united with the Filipino people in supporting local films and television programs.

“Dapat lamang ipagmalaki ng bagong Pilipino ang kwentong Pilipino,” the President said, underscoring the role of storytelling in shaping national identity.

He added that television and cinema have long been part of Filipinos’ everyday lives, serving as extensions of the home and as avenues to stay informed, entertained, and connected.

“Kasama ang pribadong sektor, kaisa ninyo ako, ang aking pamilya, at ang ating pamahalaan sa pagtangkilik sa mga pelikulang Pilipino at mga programang pang-telebisyon, dahil ang bagong Pilipino ay pinagmamalaki ang kwentong Pilipino,” Marcos said.

The Tara Nood Tayo campaign is spearheaded by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) in partnership with industry stakeholders to promote a culture of responsible and proud Filipino viewership.
