President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. personally inspected the newly installed prefabricated classrooms at Mariveles National High School – Cabcaben Annex (Alasasin) on Thursday, March 19.
The prefabricated classrooms are school buildings that are built off-site in a factory and then transported to the school location for assembly. Instead of constructing everything brick by brick on-site, the walls, floors, and roof sections are pre-made (prefabricated), often using materials like steel, concrete panels, or modular components.
According to a report by RH Leth Narciso on DZRH's MBC TV Network News, the President first visited the manufacturing plant to observe the precast construction technology used in the classrooms.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the structures, noting that they are designed to withstand natural disasters.
“Maganda ito because ang design nito ay mas matibay ito, hanggang sa lindol up to level 8 ang kaya ng mas ma-withstand. At sa bagyo 300 km per hour winds is rated for that with the 20-year warranty,” Marcos said during the visit.

Beyond infrastructure, Marcos also reviewed the Xepto Learning Management System (XLMS) and witnessed the turnover of learning tablets provided by the provincial government of Bataan to the students.
Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara accompanied the President during the inspection.
Marcos highlighted the collaborative efforts of the national and local governments to address classroom shortages and improve learning facilities.
The President also led the turnover of learning materials and launched the DepEd's YAKAP and Kalinga programs.
He checked on parents and school personnel participating in the “Yaman sa Kalusugan at Kalinga” health services offered at the school, which provide free medical care such as X-rays, ECGs, and eyeglasses.
