President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. paid tribute to First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Mother’s Day, expressing gratitude for her love and dedication to their family.
In a heartfelt message released on Sunday, May 10, Marcos described the First Lady as a loving mother and steadfast partner through the years.
“To my dear Liza, Happy Mother’s Day. I have watched you love this family for years, not out of a Mother's duty but out of a Mother's love,” the President said.
He added that their sons could not have asked for a more caring mother, while he himself could not have wished for a better life partner.
“Our boys could not have asked for a more loving mother, and I could not have asked for a better partner to walk through life with,” he added.
Marcos also thanked the First Lady for keeping their family together with “so much love and patience through every season” of their lives.
“We love you, always,” the President said.
Earlier, the President also extended his greetings to all mothers, recognizing their sacrifices and invaluable role in Filipino families and society.
“Sa bawat ina, may pagmamahal at sakripisyong hindi kayang tumbasan ng anumang salita. Kayo ang ilaw ng tahanan at haligi ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” Marcos said in an earlier post.
He also thanked mothers for their unwavering care, patience, and love for their families and for the country.
“Ngayong Mother’s Day, taos-puso akong nagpupugay at nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng ina. Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal na araw-araw ninyong iniaalay para sa inyong pamilya at para sa ating bansa,” he added.
