President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. approved a ₱7,000 gratuity pay for each government contractual and Job Order (JO) worker and a Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) of up to ₱20,000 for every government employee.
Administrative Order No. 39 states that, as contract of service (COS) and JO workers do not enjoy the same benefits regular government employees do, those who have served satisfactorily for four months in total will be accorded a one-time gratuity pay not exceeding ₱7,000 each this 2025.
Workers in service for three months but less than four will be given up to ₱6,000; those who have served for around two months will be given up to ₱5,000; and those who have served for less than two months will be given as much as ₱4,000.
“Granting a year-end Gratuity Pay to COS and JO workers is a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and valuable participation in the implementation of various PAPs of the government, and their pivotal role in the delivery of government services amidst the present socio-economic challenges,” the document read.
Meanwhile, in Administrative Order No. 40, Marcos recognized government employees’ vital role in advancing the administration’s objectives. Employees who have served for four months as of November 30 are eligible for a pro-rated SRI. Those who have rendered around three months of service will receive 40 percent; for around two months of service, 30 percent; for around one month, 20 percent; and less than a month, 10 percent.
AO No. 39 takes effect immediately, following its publication.
