The satisfaction rating of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s administration improved to a net +1 in June 2026, up from a record-low -13 in March, according to the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
In its survey released Wednesday, SWS said 42% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the Marcos administration’s performance, while 17% were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. Meanwhile, 40% were dissatisfied.
This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +1, which SWS classified as “neutral.”
“This is a 14-point recovery from poor -13 in March 2026, which was a record-low for the Marcos, Jr. administration and the lowest in 16 years since the bad -45 in March 2010 under the Arroyo administration,” the pollster said.
By area, the administration posted its highest net satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon at a “moderate” +13, followed by a “neutral” +5 in the Visayas. It recorded “poor” ratings of -11 in Metro Manila and -17 in Mindanao.
Despite the improvement, SWS said the June 2026 rating remained below the “moderate” level.
The survey also assessed the administration’s performance across 17 governance areas, with the National Administration receiving “very good” ratings in four areas, “good” in five, “moderate” in three, “neutral” in three, and “poor” in two.
Filipinos rated the Marcos administration “very good” in providing basic education to the youth in public elementary and high schools (+68), improving the quality of children’s education (+58), helping the poor (+52), and creating policies that generate job opportunities (+51).
It received “good” ratings for developing science and technology (+49), implementing housing programs for the poor (+48), ensuring food security (+41), defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea (+35), and ensuring an efficient public transportation system (+33).
The administration received “moderate” ratings for ensuring that no family would go hungry (+26), preparing for problems caused by climate change (+24), and taking care of Filipinos in Middle Eastern countries affected by war or armed conflict (+15).
It was rated “neutral” in generating solutions to rising oil prices (0), ensuring that oil companies do not take advantage of oil prices (-6), and fighting crimes that victimize ordinary citizens (-8).
The administration received “poor” ratings in fighting inflation (-12) and eradicating graft and corruption in government (-14).
The Second Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey was conducted from June 20 to 29 through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults aged 18 and above nationwide.
The respondents were equally distributed among Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, with 300 respondents from each area.
The survey has a sampling error margin of ±3 percentage points for national percentages and ±6 percentage points for each of the four areas.
