Sen. Rodante Marcoleta has been declared fit to travel, but the Philippine National Police (PNP) Health Service has recommended that he complete his antibiotic treatment for mild pneumonia before any transfer.
The PNP General Hospital recommended to the Sandiganbayan that Marcoleta finish his prescribed antibiotics until July 15. After completing the medication, the 72-year-old senator may be transported at any time, according to a report of RH Edniel Parrosa.
“Ni-recommend lang po natin siya for completion po ng antibiotics sa kanya, then anytime po pwede na siyang (travel),” said PLt. Col. Belany Bayani, chief of the Internal Medicine Department of the PNP General Hospital.
Bayani said the antibiotics were prescribed due to Marcoleta’s mild pneumonia, but the treatment is already nearing completion.
She added that Marcoleta is clinically stable and that his blood pressure is under control.
