Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso announced that the city government will release ₱476.488 million in allowances for senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) from January 28 to 30, 2026.

The announcement was made during a Facebook livestream on January 21, where Moreno said the payouts will cover unpaid allowances from late 2025—October to December for senior citizens, and from September to December for solo parents and PWDs. He said the release will significantly reduce the city’s backlog of unpaid benefits.

A total of 282,040 beneficiaries are expected to receive allowances during the three-day payout period. The distribution will be done by district, with Districts 1 and 2 scheduled on January 28, Districts 3 and 4 on January 29, and Districts 5 and 6 on January 30.

Based on city figures, 205,505 senior citizens will receive ₱325.839 million, while 16,673 solo parents will get ₱33.346 million. Allowances for 49,687 adult PWDs amount to ₱97.458 million, with an additional ₱19.845 million allocated for 10,175 PWD minors.
