Due to the large crowd visiting cemeteries this Saturday, the management of Manila South Cemetery has installed an emergency exit along Kalayaan Avenue to ensure the safety of visitors.
In a report of RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort, Director Raffy Mendez said that this measure was implemented in case of medical emergencies within the 25-hectare cemetery. Ambulances and personnel are on standby in the area to ensure that the emergency exit is used only for emergency purposes and not as a regular entry or exit point for visitors.
Last year, three entrances were opened at the cemetery, with stairways installed along Kalayaan Avenue and Metropolitan, while this year, only one entrance remains open, which is the main gate.
Meanwhile, as of 11 a.m., nearly 29,000 people have visited the Manila South Cemetery for Undas 2025.
