The City Government of Manila has officially opened applications for Miss Manila 2026, calling on qualified Manileñas to compete for the city’s prestigious crown and represent the capital on the national stage.
In its announcement, organizers said the pageant seeks candidates who can embody beauty, intelligence, and a strong connection to Manila.
“The nation's capital is in search of its next queen,” the statement read, urging women with inspiring personal stories and a passion for promoting the city’s culture, tourism, and social causes to apply.
Applicants must be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old, and either bona fide residents of Manila or have significant ties to the city through birth, family, education, or employment.
The competition is open to all civil statuses, with no height requirement, and requires candidates to have completed at least high school and maintain good moral character and health.
Initial screening is scheduled from April 15 to 18 and April 20 to 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tourism Information Center inside Manila City Hall. Candidates are required to wear a black dress and bring swimwear and pageant heels. The final screening will take place on April 28, followed by the presentation of official candidates on April 30.
Organizers highlighted that the winner will receive major opportunities, including a one-year contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center and the chance to represent Manila at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
The competition marks the beginning of the search for the next ambassador of Manila, as aspiring candidates vie for the crown and the opportunity to showcase the capital’s pride and identity on a larger stage.
