The Manila Police District (MPD) has announced road closures and traffic re-routing in preparation for the Feast of Sto. Niño de Tondo from January 17 to 18, 2026, starting at 12:01 a.m.

Affected roads include Moriones, Sta. Maria, J. Nolasco, N. Zamora, Asuncion, Morga, Ortega, Juan Luna, Chacon, P. Herrera, Ylaya, and Lakandula/Carmen Planas. Authorities urge motorists to plan their routes accordingly.

Vehicles from Asuncion Street will be rerouted to Tuazon Street or via Lakandula, Carmen Planas, P. Herrera, and Juan Luna Streets to reach their destinations. Those coming from Moriones Street to J. Nolasco Street should proceed straight to Dagupan Street. Vehicles from Pritil via N. Zamora Street are advised to turn left to Moriones Street and then left to Dagupan Street.

The Manila Police District and traffic authorities will monitor the affected areas to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the religious celebration. Residents and commuters are encouraged to expect delays and follow posted detours.
