The City of Manila is all set for the observance of Undas this year, with Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso ordering a full deployment of city personnel across all public cemeteries to ensure order, safety, and accessibility for visitors.

During a directional meeting with frontline departments, Domagoso directed all city employees to maintain full visibility and readiness at the Manila North, South, and Islamic Cemeteries throughout the holiday.

He emphasized the importance of continuous public assistance, effective crowd management, and maintaining peace and order during the peak of cemetery visits.

To help keep the cemeteries organized, Domagoso reiterated the ban on unauthorized vendors inside cemetery premises. Only accredited sellers will be allowed to set up stalls in designated areas outside the cemetery gates.

The Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) has also been instructed to assist families, especially in cases involving lost children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. Social workers will be stationed at information desks and command posts to help reunite families and provide on-site support.

Meanwhile, security personnel from the Manila Police District (MPD), Department of Public Services (DPS), and Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) have been ordered to maintain 24/7 coordination for security, sanitation, and traffic management throughout the Undas period.

Mayor Moreno assured the public that the city government will be on full alert to ensure a safe, peaceful, and well-organized commemoration for all who will visit their departed loved ones.
