A Manila City Hall employee was victimized in a snatching incident while on the way to attend a flag-raising ceremony on Monday morning at Kartilya ng Katipunan near City Hall.

According to RH 29 Boy Gonzales' initial report, the victim was approached by two suspects while heading to the program, who forcibly took the victim’s cellphone.

Security personnel and several employees in the area immediately chased the suspects, leading to the arrest of one of them. The other suspect managed to escape and remains at large.

Authorities have launched an ongoing investigation and are conducting a manhunt for the second suspect.

The arrested suspect, a 24-year-old male from Tondo, is now under the custody of the Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (SMART) following the incident.
