A student who made himself known as a “shooter” disrupted classes and regular operations at the La Salle Green Hills on Thursday, August 27, reported RH 52 Edniel Parrosa.

Mandaluyong Chief of Police PCol. Reynan Patam confirmed that police have identified the said student.

The students’ schoolmates had told their parents when he messaged a group chat, “Shooter ako. Mag-ingat kayo.”

Patam added that the school administration is set to speak to the self-proclaimed shooter and his guardians.

However, as of now, police do not see any reason to probe whether the student is in possession of a firearm.

La Salle Green Hills has implemented remote, virtual classes until Friday, August 28, in response to the incident.

“Naka-online class po sila. Nag-reach out naman na po ‘yung school… sa parents po. Anytime po, magkakaroon sila ng pag-uusap,” Patam told reporters.

The Eastern Police District (EPD), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), and the Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) are currently reviewing the school’s security features.
