A man was shot dead by his former male partner inside a store in Lucena City, Quezon on Thursday morning, March 5.

The incident was captured on CCTV footage that is now circulating online.

According to Lucena City police, the victim arrived at the store first and was reportedly returning clothes he had allegedly borrowed from the suspect.

Based on CCTV footage, the two were seen talking while arranging the clothes when the suspect stood behind the victim, suddenly pulled out a gun, and shot him in the head.

After the shooting, the suspect allegedly instructed a man outside the store to pull down the roll-up door. The video also showed the suspect appearing agitated before fleeing the scene while carrying the firearm.

Police said the victim and the suspect had separated only about a month ago.

Authorities are looking into crime of passion and possible revenge as potential motives for the killing.

A manhunt operation is now underway to locate the suspect.
