A 45-year-old man was found dead inside his condominium unit at a residential complex in Tondo, Manila, on Friday afternoon, December 12.
According to RH Boy Gonzales' report on RH Balita, police identified the victim as Michael Torralba, a BPO employee and resident of Building 5, Unit 1069 of Urban Deca Homes along Velasquez Street, Barangay 106.
Based on initial police investigation, the victim’s body was discovered at around 5:20 p.m. The man was found lying on his bed with a blanket covering his head.
The discovery was made after a neighbor reportedly heard a commotion in the hallway and noticed a security guard standing outside the victim’s unit. When there was no response to repeated knocking, the security guard forcibly opened the door, where Torralba was found lifeless inside.
Personnel from the Manila Police District (MPD) immediately responded to the scene.
Authorities said Torralba was last seen alive at around 4:00 p.m. on the same day, when he reportedly received a food pack at the building’s lobby.
The MPD-Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) has been notified and will conduct a deeper investigation. Authorities are still determining the cause of death.
