Police arrested a man for allegedly carrying an illegal firearm in Barangay Camaya, Mariveles, Bataan, on Sunday, Nov. 1, during the observance of All Saints’ Day.

According to a report by RH Danny Cumilang, authorities seized a .38-caliber revolver loaded with four rounds of ammunition from the suspect after responding to a report from a concerned citizen about a man carrying a firearm.

Personnel of the Mariveles police station immediately responded to the report and arrested the suspect.

The man is facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Bataan police provincial director Col. Marites Salvadora said the arrest was part of the intensified security measures implemented by the Bataan police under its Undas full-alert status to ensure public safety during the observance.
