by Mary Antalan03 November 2026

A 33-year-old man was arrested for alleged unjust vexation after reportedly attempting to forcibly open the rear passenger-side door of a vehicle occupied by two women at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City, the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP AVSEGROUP) said.

The incident occurred at Bay 9 of the airport's arrival area on November 1, 2026.

According to the PNP AVSEGROUP, repeated honking of the vehicle's horn alerted airport authorities, prompting them to respond and apprehend the suspect.

The man, identified as a Filipino non-passenger, was brought to NAIA Police Station 3, where he remains under custody pending the filing of an appropriate criminal complaint and inquest proceedings.

He is facing a complaint for alleged violation of Article 287 of the Revised Penal Code, or unjust vexation.

Meanwhile, PNP AVSEGROUP Director PBGen. Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr. said airport security measures have been further intensified in observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

He also urged passengers and other individuals to observe airport regulations and cooperate with security personnel to maintain a safe and orderly airport environment.
