Malacañang on Wednesday dismissed circulating reports claiming that Education Secretary Sonny Angara and Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda are in danger of being removed from their posts.

“Kahapon lang ay kasama namin sila sa LEDAC meeting at nagbigay sila ng kanilnag mga proyekto sa private meeting with the President, so we deny,” Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a press briefing.

When asked how the President assesses his Cabinet’s overall performance this year—particularly in light of several resignations linked to corruption allegations involving flood control projects—Castro said the President remains satisfied with the performance of his Cabinet members.

She emphasized that despite the series of calamities and storms the country has faced, the President observed that his officials continued to carry out their duties and provide assistance to affected communities.

Asked whether more officials are expected to be removed or replaced soon, Castro said there are currently no updates.
