The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO)–Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of Maguindanao del Sur has been placed under red alert status starting Sunday, September 13, 2026, in preparation for the first-ever Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections.

The red alert status will remain in effect "until further notice."

The PDRRMO directed all concerned personnel and response teams to remain vigilant, prepared, and ready to respond to any emergency or incident that may occur before, during, and after the elections.

The first BARMM Parliamentary elections are scheduled for September 14, 2026.
