A former board member of Maguindanao del Sur survived a daylight gun attack on November 10, despite his vehicle being riddled with bullets.
According to RH Provincial Reporter Jun Dimacutac, the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. in Barangay New Carmen, Tacurong City, as Taharuddin Nul Mlok, 51, was inside his bulletproof SUV.
Witnesses said Mlok quickly got into his vehicle while being fired upon by four suspects, but was unharmed thanks to the SUV’s protection.
Mlok reportedly chased the suspects, who were riding two motorcycles, and exchanged gunfire with them. His vehicle even collided with one of the motorcycles, yet he continued the pursuit, ultimately forcing the suspects to abandon the motorcycle and leaving behind their firearms.
Police investigations are ongoing, including the motive behind the ambush.
