

Five earthquakes jolted Manay, Davao Oriental, on the morning of October 14.
The strongest, a magnitude 5.8 quake, occurred at 10 a.m.; the second, a magnitude 4.0 quake, took place only five minutes later at 10:05 a.m.
A third, a magnitude 5.2 quake, followed at 10:19 a.m.; the fourth, another magnitude 5.2 quake, struck at 10:39 a.m.; and lastly, a fifth, at magnitude 4.1, shook the municipality at 10:51 a.m.
The first tremor registered Intensity I and was felt in the following areas:
- Davao City;
- Digos City, Davao del Sur;
- Malita and Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental;
- Nabunturan, Davao de Oro; and
- Sarangani.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), this was an aftershock of the powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake on October 10.
The magnitude 5.2 tremors at 10:19 and 10:39 were felt at Intensities I and II, both in Nabunturan.
So far, over 1,203 aftershocks have been recorded in the area, according to a report.
