A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck the waters of Lingig, Surigao del Sur at 11:19 AM on Thursday, October 29.

According to PHIVOLCS, the earthquake had a depth of 10 km.

Instrumental intensities were felt in the following areas:

• Intensity II - Nabunturan, DAVAO DE ORO
• Intensity I - City of Digos, DAVAO DEL SUR; City of Bislig and Tandag, SURIGAO DEL SUR

No damage is expected from the quake, but PHIVOLCS reminded the public of possible aftershocks.
