A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental early Sunday, July 12, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

PHIVOLCS said the quake occurred at 1:49 a.m., with its epicenter located 67 kilometers southwest of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.

No earthquake intensities were reported as of posting.

Authorities have yet to report any damage or casualties related to the tremor.
