A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the municipality of Magsaysay in Lanao del Norte on Wednesday morning, June 24, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

PHIVOLCS reported that the earthquake occurred at 11:15 a.m. and had a shallow depth of 2 kilometers.

The agency said no significant damage is expected from the tremor. Likewise, no aftershocks are anticipated following the earthquake.

No immediate reports of injuries or damage have been received as of writing.
