From dollification to goddessafication!
Filipino drag superstar and Drag Race Philippines Season 2 Alumna, M1ss Jade So is officially taking the "goddessafication agenda" worldwide after being announced as one of the queens competing in the inaugural season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under vs the World, marking another major milestone for Philippine drag on the global stage.
Known for her extraterrestrial beauty, high-fashion fantasy, and unapologetic doll domination, M1ss Jade So first captivated audiences during Drag Race Philippines Season 2, where she became one of the competition's most unforgettable personalities. While she did not take home the crown, she emerged as one of the season's biggest breakout stars, earning a devoted fanbase and cementing her status as a modern drag icon.
Now, the self-proclaimed goddess is ready to enter a new werkroom and face off against some of the fiercest queens from across the Drag Race universe.
During the official Meet the Queens reveal, Jade reflected on the significance of representing the Philippines on an international platform.
“Only a few queens get this opportunity. I’m so happy to do it and represent the Philippines with me,” she said.
And represent, she will.
Jade joins a powerhouse cast that includes Art Simone, Coco Jumbo, Flor, Nikita Iman, and Vybe from Drag Race Down Under; Estrella Xtravaganza from Drag Race España; Michael Marouli from Drag Race UK; and American Drag Race fan favorites Raven, Lala Ri, and Nicole Paige Brooks.
The promotional images alone had fans collectively screaming, "Shantay, you stay!" Jade appeared in a futuristic metallic ensemble complete with dramatic wing-like details, serving intergalactic glamour and reminding viewers why she remains one of the most visually distinctive queens to emerge from the Philippine franchise.
In her introduction, Jade teased the next phase of her ever-evolving drag vision, declaring the arrival of her latest "goddessafication agenda"—a phrase that has become synonymous with her unique brand of celestial drag.
Her casting also continues the growing legacy of Filipino queens making waves internationally. Following the global success of Marina Summers, Eva Le Queen, Minty Fresh, Arizona Brandy, Bernie, Brigiding, Khianna, and Viñas DeLuxe, M1ss Jade So now carries the Philippine flag into another prestigious Drag Race battleground.
Beyond the wigs, heels, and sickening runways, Jade's participation represents the continued rise of Filipino drag artistry on the world stage. Her journey from Drag Race Philippines finalist to international competitor reflects how local drag talent is increasingly earning recognition alongside some of the franchise's biggest names.
With Michelle Visage hosting the competition and a cast packed with charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, expectations are sky-high for the season's premiere on July 24 on WOW Presents Plus.
Will the goddessafication agenda conquer the world? Fans certainly believe she has the nerve, the fashion, and the fantasy to make it happen.
As the Drag Race fandom would say: the dolls are dolling, the children are gagging, and M1ss Jade So is officially ready to make her international runway debut.
