The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has imposed a 90-day preventive suspension on the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider who went viral after performing the “boat dance challenge” while standing on his motorcycle in the middle of the road.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shared that the LTO issued a show-cause order to Rey Mark Aposacas Babiano or also known as "RBabianoTv" on Facebook, after a video surfaced online “were seen standing and dancing on a top of a motorcycle while temporarily stopped in traffic."

According to the order, the driver is required to appear before the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

The LTO also ordered the driver to submit a written explanation as to why he should not be charged with reckless driving under Republic Act 4136.

Moreover, he was also required to explain why his "license should not be revoked or suspended for being an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle (Sec. 27 of R.A. 4136)."

Aside from the suspension, the vehicle of the driver also placed under alarm status, and he has been ordered to surrender his license to the LTO before the scheduled hearing date.

"Failure to appear and submit the written comment/explanation as required shall be construed by this Office as a waiver of your rights to be heard, and the case shall be decided based on the evidence at hand," the LTO warned.

Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon also reminded the public that the DOTr will not stop apprehending erring drivers on the road.
