The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has ordered a 90-day preventive suspension of the driver’s license of a driver caught dragging a motorcycle trapped underneath a private vehicle along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, on October 27.

The LTO also issued a Show Cause Order against the driver and the vehicle’s registered owner over alleged reckless driving and registration violations. The vehicle, last registered on July 1, 2024, has also been placed under alarm.

According to the Quezon City Police District report, the vehicle struck the motorcycle, causing the rider to fall and sustain injuries, while the motorcycle became trapped underneath the car and was dragged along the road until another motorist blocked its path.

The driver and registered owner have been directed to appear before the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division on November 3 to explain the incident and submit supporting documents. The motorcycle rider was also invited to attend a clarificatory hearing.
