The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order (SCO) against motorcycle vlogger Alyanna Mari Aguinaldo, also known as “Yanna Motovlog,” following her involvement in a viral road rage incident in Zambales.

According to the LTO, the incident involved an altercation between Aguinaldo and the driver of a pickup truck, which was captured in a widely shared video on social media.

In the video, Aguinaldo can be seen driving recklessly on a dirt path, with indications of multiple potential traffic violations.

“On the part of this vlogger, she should have used her social media influence to promote responsible driving and road safety,” according to a press release of LTO.

Moreover, the agency said that their Social Media Team monitored a viral video showing the motorcycle vlogger making an obscene hand gesture—the middle finger—towards the driver of a pick-up truck, which the vlogger claimed the pick-up driver had been driving recklessly.

The situation escalated when the pick-up driver confronted her to question the offensive gesture and clarified that rough road conditions had affected his driving.

Despite this explanation, Yanna Vlog continued the argument and reportedly made further insulting remarks after the driver left.

As stated in the order, Aguinaldo is required to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division of the LTO on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the agency’s East Avenue office in Quezon City.

The motorcycle vlogger must submit a written explanation and supporting documents addressing the allegations, which include:

  • Reckless Driving (Section 48 of Republic Act No. 4136)
  • Use of Unauthorized Plates (Section 18 of R.A. 4136)
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without or With Improper/Unauthorized Accessories and Devices
  • Use of Improper Helmets (under DOTC JAO 2014-01)
  • Operating a Vehicle Without a Valid License (Section 27 of R.A. 4136)

Pending the investigation, Aguinaldo’s driver’s license has been placed under a 90-day preventive suspension and flagged under an alarm status. She has also been ordered to surrender her license to the LTO.

The agency warned Aguinaldo that failure to appear or provide a written explanation would be considered a waiver of Aguinaldo’s right to be heard, and a decision would be made based on available evidence.

“Matagal na tayong nagpapaliwanag sa milyon-milyong nating mga kababayang motorista na walang mabuting idinudulot ang init ng ulo sa kalsada at napakarami na ang naparusahan natin dito,” LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II emphasized.

The woman’s actions drew strong criticism from netizens, many of whom described her behavior as inappropriate and disrespectful.

Although the vlogger has since apologized, Mendoza stated that the investigation will proceed.

"Department of Transportation Secretary Vice Dizon earlier vowed that the government will fight back against reckless and irresponsible drivers to ensure safety of all road users amid increasing cases of accidents and road rage," the statement said.
