The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has summoned the records of accredited truck-for-hire service providers of five online shopping platforms as it intensifies its crackdown on illegal delivery operations.

In a press release dated October 17, Acting LTFRB Chairman Atty. Greg Pua Jr. said the agency issued subpoenas to the service providers of Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, TikTok Shop, and SM Retail Inc., directing them to submit complete and updated lists of their accredited truck-for-hire partners within three working days of receiving the orders.

“We are in the initial phase of our aggressive operations against truck-for-hire or delivery service motor vehicles that are providing services illegally. By summoning the list of these five online shopping platforms, we will be able to identify those legitimate and colorum ones,” Pua said.

The LTFRB warned that delivery vehicles operating without the required permits are considered colorum and may face penalties, including vehicle impoundment and fines of up to ₱200,000 per unit.

The agency said the records would help identify illegal operators, protect road safety, and ensure fair competition for legitimate transport and delivery service providers. Its Law Enforcement Unit has also been directed to intensify anti-colorum operations nationwide.
