The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) continued to operate under provisional service Tuesday after lightning struck and damaged the catenary wire at the Antipolo Station.
As of 6:40 p.m. on September 22, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said repair work on the affected catenary wire was still ongoing.
Train operations are currently limited to the Recto Station-Santolan Station route and vice versa.
The LRTA earlier said the disruption occurred after the catenary wire at Antipolo Station was hit by lightning and severed.
Passengers are advised to monitor the LRTA’s official social media pages for further updates on the status of LRT-2 operations.
The LRTA apologized for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their understanding.
