Meanwhile, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) also confirmed that LRT Line 2 will offer free rides during the same Labor Day observance.

The free rides for LRT-2 will also be available from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera said the initiative is a simple way of expressing gratitude to Filipino workers for their continued hard work and sacrifice.

“Ang libreng sakay na ito ay munting pagkilala sa walang sawang pagsusumikap at sakripisyo ng mga manggagawang Pilipino. Sa pamamagitan nito, hangad naming maipadama ang aming taos-pusong pasasalamat at mataas na pagpapahalaga sa kanilang dedikasyon,” Cabrera said.

The transportation agencies encouraged commuters to plan their trips ahead to avoid congestion during peak hours and ensure a smooth travel experience.
