Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) implemented limited operations on Thursday morning following a technical issue, affecting train service across key stations in Metro Manila.
As of 10:07 a.m. on April 16, 2026, LRT-1 said trains were running only on two separate segments: Dr. Santos Station to Baclaran Station and Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Central Terminal Station, operating in both directions.
In an earlier advisory issued at 9:55 a.m., the operator confirmed the system was already under limited operations, with service initially restricted to the Dr. Santos–Baclaran line. Engineering personnel were deployed on-site to address the fault and restore normal operations.
The management apologized for the inconvenience and assured commuters that an engineering team is on-site working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Further updates were expected to be released as operations develop.
