The Low Pressure Area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is expected to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and several parts of Luzon on Thursday, while state weather bureau PAGASA said it is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

In its 3:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated over the coastal waters of Nasugbu, Batangas as of 3:00 a.m.

As of 2:00 a.m., the weather bureau said the weather disturbance, designated as LPA 07e, remains inside PAR but has a low chance of intensifying into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

PAGASA is also monitoring another weather disturbance, LPA 07f, located outside PAR, which is likewise unlikely to develop into a tropical depression during the same period.

The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON.

Meanwhile, the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Cagayan Valley.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides, particularly in areas vulnerable to these hazards during severe thunderstorms.

The weather bureau advised the public to continue monitoring official weather updates and take necessary precautions, especially those living in flood- and landslide-prone areas.
