A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday morning, March 8, according to PAGASA.

The weather bureau said it has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression.

As of 4 AM, the LPA is located 1,690 km east of Northeastern Mindanao.

In its daily forecast, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon, while easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.
