The Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a “high” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
According to the state weather bureau’s 8 a.m. update, the LPA was last spotted 1,190 km east of Southeastern Luzon.
If it becomes a tropical depression, it will be named "Wilma."
Meanwhile, another LPA, formerly named “Verbena,” was also observed outside the PAR, located approximately 475 km west-northwest of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan.
