LPA outside PAR develops into a tropical depression – PAGASA

The low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression.
As of 8:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, the PAGASA said that the tropical depression was located at 1,305 km East of Eastern Visayas (Guian). It has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gustiness of 55 km/h.
It is currently moving north northwestward at 10 km/h.
In an earlier update, the PAGASA said that the former LPA was located 1,315 km east of Eastern Visayas.
Once the weather disturbance enters the PAR, it will be given the local name “Caloy.”
