The Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has developed into a tropical depression, according to PAGASA.

"At 8:00 AM today (22 October), the LPA located east of Taiwan developed into TD SALOME. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 AM today," PAGASA said.
