The low pressure area (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday, December 3, at 2:00 PM.

According to PAGASA, the LPA has a “high” potential of developing into a tropical depression within 24 hours. Its location was seen at 1,105 km East of Southern Luzon.

If the LPA intensifies into a tropical depression, it will be named “Wilma.”

Meanwhile, LPA 11b, formerly “Verbena,” has exited the monitoring domain of the state weather bureau.
