Following Love Radio Manila DJs’ heartfelt expressions of gratitude and an evident radio silence on their end—alarming listeners at the presumed adieu—the station on Friday released a statement on social media hinting at some changes for the better.
In the statement shared on August 7, Love Radio assured its listeners that the changes it will make were inspired by a desire to keep them happy.
“Makakaasa kayo na ang pagbabago ay bunga ng hangarin naming patuloy kang mapasaya, makakuwentuhan, at samahan,” the management wrote.
“Maaaring nakakapanibago, pero may bago rin tayong kuwento at panibagong yugto na dapat abangan,” they concluded.
The caption read, “8.8,” which may pertain to Saturday, August 8.
Love Radio Manila Station Manager and FM mainstay Nicole Hyala declined to give a comment to the media regarding the emotional video and subsequent silence.
“Ayoko nang mag-comment diyan,” she told MBC TV Network News’ showbiz angel, Angelica Cosme.
In an evocative video titled “Hanggang Dito Muna,” Love Radio disc jockeys Raqi Terra, Tanya Chinita, Diego Bandido, Angkol Dagol, Conyo Bicolano, Mara Tonee, Kim Chino, Titan Gelo, and Nicole Hyala herself went down memory lane and thanked their listeners.
Listeners noted that during this first week of August, none of them have gone on-air and the station has played only its trademark jingles and songs.
