Localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms across Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Friday, according to the PAGASA.

Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) formerly known as “Caloy” was spotted 1,055 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of Friday morning.

PAGASA said the weather disturbance is unlikely to redevelop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

The state weather bureau warned that localized thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides, especially in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.

For coastal conditions, Luzon will experience light to moderate winds coming from the northwest to north, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Visayas, meanwhile, will have light to moderate winds from the northeast to north direction, with slight to moderate sea conditions.

In Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate with variable direction, while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

PAGASA said sunrise on Friday was at 5:28 a.m., while sunset is expected at 6:17 p.m.
