Malacañang has released the list of regular and special non-working holidays for the year
The holiday schedule includes regular holidays, special non-working days, and additional special non-working days.
The following are the regular holidays for 2027:
- January 1, Friday – New Year’s Day
- March 25, Thursday – Maundy Thursday
- March 26, Friday – Good Friday
- April 9, Friday – Araw ng Kagitingan
- May 1, Saturday – Labor Day
- June 12, Saturday – Independence Day
- August 30, Monday – National Heroes Day
- November 30, Tuesday – Bonifacio Day
- December 25, Saturday – Christmas Day
- December 30, Thursday – Rizal Day
Meanwhile, the following are declared special non-working days:
- February 7, Sunday – Chinese New Year
- August 21, Saturday – Ninoy Aquino Day
- November 1, Monday – All Saints’ Day
- November 2, Tuesday – All Souls’ Day
- December 8, Wednesday – Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
- December 24, Friday – Christmas Eve
- December 31, Friday – Last Day of the Year
Additional special non-working days include:
- March 27, Saturday – Black Saturday
The February 25, 2027 EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary will be observed as a special working day.
The proclamation is intended to provide the public, government agencies, schools, and the private sector with guidance in planning their activities and operations for 2027.
Meanwhile, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is expected to issue the implementing guidelines for the observance of the holidays.
Separate proclamations will be issued for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha once the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined based on the Islamic calendar or through Islamic astronomical calculations.
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos will recommend to the President the actual dates on which the two Islamic holidays will fall.
