Several roads in Metro Manila were submerged in floodwaters early Tuesday, August 18, due to rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

As of 5:40 a.m., the MMDA reported flooding in parts of Manila and Quezon City.

Manila

Quezon City

• NS Amoranto, G. Araneta Avenue to Sto. Domingo Avenue — 19 inches; knee-deep; not passable to all types of vehicles (NPATV).
• EDSA North Avenue — 8 inches; gutter-deep; PATV.
• Commonwealth Technohub westbound — 8 inches; gutter-deep; PATV.
• Araneta, Maria Clara to Florentino — 26 inches; tire-deep; NPATV.
• Elliptical Road-Kalayaan — 8 inches; gutter-deep; PATV.
