

Several areas in Metro Manila experienced flooding on Friday, July 10, due to heavy rains, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon, intensified by Typhoon Inday, continues to bring rains over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. Residents were advised to remain alert for possible flooding and other weather-related hazards.
As of 2:35 p.m., the following areas were reported flooded:
Mandaluyong City
- EDSA Shaw Tunnel northbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
Quezon City
- EDSA Aurora Tunnel northbound/southbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
- EDSA Aurora Service Road northbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
- Kamuning Service Road northbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
- Araneta Avenue between Quezon Avenue and E. Rodriguez — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
- EDSA Santolan Service Road northbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
- White Plains westbound/eastbound — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
Manila City
- Taft Avenue from Pedro Gil to in front of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Ermita — Half-gutter deep flooding, around 4 inches; passable to all types of vehicles.
Pasig City
- Valle Verde VI outermost lane — Floodwaters above knee level; not passable to all types of vehicles.
- Valle Verde VI innermost lane — Floodwaters above gutter level; not passable to all types of vehicles.
Marikina City
- Marcos Highway in front of SM Marikina Exit — Gutter-deep flooding; passable to all types of vehicles.
Authorities reminded motorists and the public to monitor weather updates and avoid flooded areas whenever possible as rains from the enhanced Habagat continue.
