A lifeless infant was found floating in a river beneath a bridge in Barangay Minahan, General Nakar, Quezon on Wednesday, March 18.

According to a report by Benjie Antioquia, the infant was discovered by three children who were searching for spiders in the area. The children were shocked by what they saw and immediately reported the incident to authorities.

Personnel from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), along with police officers, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the infant had already died.

Authorities are now conducting an investigation to determine the identity of the parents and identify those responsible for allegedly dumping the infant in the river.
