1Tahanan Party-list Rep. Nathaniel “Nat” Oducado denied allegations that lawmakers were offered bribes or threatened in exchange for voting in favor of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Speaking during an interview on DZRH’s Dos Por Dos, Oducado said no one had approached him with offers of incentives or warnings related to the impeachment proceedings.

“To be honest, wala po...As members of the House, nagtatanungan kami kung ano ang tingin nyo sa kaso,” Oducado said.

He clarified that discussions among House members were limited to exchanges of opinions regarding the complaint and did not involve promises of rewards or punishments.

“But when it comes to incentives or punishments, wala akong nakausap. And even 'yung mga kaibigan kong nakausap ko, wala rin silang na-receive na ganun na usapan,” he added.

The lawmaker issued the statement amid allegations that some members of the House of Representatives were being offered cash, additional Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), infrastructure projects, and the release of Financial and Legislative Resources (FLR) allocations in exchange for supporting the impeachment case against Duterte. There were also claims that lawmakers faced possible legal threats related to the proceedings.

Asked whether anyone had approached him regarding such offers or threats, Oducado denied the allegations.

“Walang ganun. And I think… normally na highly politicized situation tulad ng impeachment, na maraming magiging discontent creators para ma-force ang certain officials to decide in a certain manner,” he said.

Oducado also described the House leadership as neutral on the issue, saying lawmakers were free to decide independently on the impeachment complaint.

“Pero to be honest, itong House leadership ngayon, nakikita natin na talaga nga very neutral sila when it comes to individual members voting. Walang tumatawag individually sa amin,” he added.

The party-list representative also revealed that two issues in the impeachment complaint against Duterte stood out to him: the alleged threats attributed to the Vice President and questions surrounding her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), particularly allegations of unexplained wealth.

According to Oducado, members of the 1Tahanan Party-list are still discussing their final position on the impeachment case.
